History
The village of Borshchevsky Sands was founded in 1760 in the form of a farm Borshchevo (Borshchev), when several families from the village of Borshchevo, now the Paninsky district, crossed the Bityug River and settled on the sands. In the years 1870-1880 the village was simply called Sands.
