History
A settlement called Ereshkina Lutseva is indicated on the military topographic map of 1870 [3] . According to the Schematic map of the Atkar district of 1912, the Ereshkov farm is designated within the boundaries of the Likhodeevsky volost [4] . According to the List of Populated Places of the Atkar Uyezd in 1914 (according to information for 1911), the Ereshkov farm was inhabited mainly by the Great Russians , a total of 576 men and 575 women. There was a church school on the farm [5]
In 1921, the Likhodeevsky volost was transferred from Atkarsky district to the new Elansky district . In 1923, in connection with the abolition of the Elan county, the volost was included in the Elan volost of the Balashov district [6]
In 1928, Ereshkovo was included in the Elansky district of the Kamyshinsky district (abolished in 1930) of the Lower Volga region (from 1934 - the Stalingrad region , since 1936 - the Stalingrad region [7] ) [8] . In 1953, the Likhodeevsky, Vodopyanovsky and Ereshkovsky village councils were merged into one Likhodeevsky center, the village of Likhodeevo (later the village council was renamed Berezovsky) [9] .
Geography
The village is located within the Khopersko-Buzuluk plain , which is the southern end of the Oksko-Don Lowland , on the Berezovaya River (the left tributary of the Tersa River), at an altitude of about 135-140 meters above sea level [10] .
Soils: ordinary chernozems [11] .
By road, the distance to the regional center of Volgograd is 380 km, to the regional center of the working village of Elan - 28 km.
