Ichnya Milk Powder and Butter Plant

1965 - 1991

The construction of the plant was carried out in accordance with the seven-year plan for the development of the national economy of the USSR and was completed in 1965, on August 1, 1965 the launch of the enterprise took place. The production capacity of the plant at the time of commissioning was 2.5 tons per day ^[1] .

In 1987 - 1989 the plant was expanded and reconstructed: a new plant for the production of whole-milk products was built, a line for the production of butter was installed, other technological equipment was modernized, a gas pipeline was laid in 1989 and the boiler plant was transferred from coal to natural gas ^[1] .

In 1990, the plant processed 52 thousand tons of milk - the largest amount in the entire history of the enterprise ^[1] .

In Soviet times, the Ichnyansky milk powder and butter plant was among the leading enterprises of the city ^{[2] [3]} .

After 1991

After the independence of Ukraine was declared, the state enterprise was transformed into a leased enterprise , in 1993 it was privatized and on December 29, 1993 it was reorganized into an open joint-stock company . In connection with the deterioration of the situation in agriculture (which caused complications in the provision of milk), the plant shifted to the production of milk powder ^[1] .

In 2006, the plant was certified for compliance with the ISO 9001: 2001 quality management system standards, and in 2008 it was certified for compliance with the standards of the HACCP food safety management system in accordance with the requirements of DSTU 4161-2003 ^[1] .

In 2010, the production capacity of the plant made it possible to process up to 220 tons of milk and produce about 200 tons of milk powder and 8 to 10 tons of butter per day ^[1] .

In 2013, the plant processed 40.5 thousand tons of milk ^[4] .

In 2014, the plant processed almost 49.2 thousand tons of milk and increased production by 22.5% compared with 2013 figures. A total of 2.3 thousand tons of skimmed milk powder, 1 thousand tons of whole milk powder, 1.66 thousand tons of butter and about 12.1 thousand tons of other whole-milk products ^[5] were produced in 2014, but ended the year with a loss of 25.6 million hryvnia ^[6] .

Also, in 2014, it was decided to transfer the enterprise from natural gas to the use of peat ^[7] .

In 2015, the plant mainly returned to 2013 production volumes. In 2015, a total of 6.9 thousand tons of products were produced (2.77 thousand tons of skimmed milk powder, 947 tons of whole milk powder, 24 tons of cream powder, 1.7 thousand tons of butter, and 1.4 thousand tons dairy products) ^[8] .

Also, in 2015, the plant withdrew from the Rostok-Holding LLC. In 2016, the plant produced 3.388 thousand tons of milk powder (10.5% less than in 2015), 2.57 thousand tons of whole milk and 1.464 thousand tons of butter (15.6% less than in 2015 year) - and completed 2016 with a net profit of 10 thousand hryvnia ^[9] .

The company produces several types of cheese , whole milk powder , skimmed milk powder, cream powder, butter , milk , cream , kefir , yogurt , ryazhenka , yogurt , cottage cheese and whey .
