Agaev, Agahan Garib oglu

Born in 1940 in the city of Sumgayit, Azerbaijan SSR.

He began his career in 1963 as an apparatchik at the Sumgait Superphosphate Plant of the USSR Ministry of Chemical Industry, later a senior apparatchik of the same plant.

Agaev proved himself to be an experienced worker at work, rationally applying every minute and setting himself the goal of combining economy and quality. The apparatchik initiated the movement of work on two cameras, becoming the first person in the factory to simultaneously work on two cameras. But Agaev did not stop there and began to accelerate the process of each chamber, as a result of which he received 25 tons of superphosphate in excess of the norm for a shift. The phosphates produced by Agaev were widely used in agriculture in Azerbaijan, they were popularly called "vitamins for the fields", thanks to them there were numerous victories of workers of the agricultural farm of Azerbaijan. Agakhan Agayev fulfilled the tenth five-year plan ahead of schedule, giving over 2 thousand tons of superphosphates over the plan.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 3, 1980 , for outstanding achievements in the early fulfillment of the tasks of the tenth five-year period for the production of industrial and agricultural products, Agayev Agahan Garib oglu was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal " Hammer and Sickle ."

He actively participated in the public life of Azerbaijan. Member of the CPSU . The delegate of the XXVI Congress of the CPSU and the XXX Congress of the CP of Azerbaijan.
