General elections in Honduras were held on November 27, 2005. They elected the president, vice president and deputies of the National Congress of Honduras . For the election, the Constitution was amended and the post of the only vice president was created (instead of the three presidential appointees who went with him on the list in the previous elections). The proportional representation was changed from closed lists, when voters voted for the party, to open lists.
