The 6th edition of Amstel Gold Reis is a one-day road cycling race along the roads of the Dutch province of Limburg . The 233 km long race with the start in Heerlen and the finish in Mersen was held on March 28, 1971. Of the 123 riders who started, 47 finished.
The Belgian Frans Verbeck from the Watney-Avia team won the race.
