History

In the "List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire", published in 1876, the settlement is mentioned as the treasury village of Astrakhan (Bozino) of the Glazovsky Uyezd (1st camp), with the key Astrakhan, located 54 versts from the county town of Glazov . There were 16 yards in the village and 197 people lived (97 men and 100 women) [2] .

Geography

The village is located in the northwestern part of Udmurtia, within the Verkhnekamsk Upland , west of the Sizma River, at a distance of about 15 kilometers (in a straight line) north of the village of Yar , the administrative center of the region. The absolute height is 213 meters above sea ​​level [3] .
