In the book “Spy Hunter,” Oreste Pinto describes a series of events from his practice when working in counterintelligence during World War II . First of all, he focuses on the misconceptions of many people regarding the activities of counterintelligence and gives arguments to dispel them.

The author covers some cases from his practice described in the book in sufficient detail, explaining the causes of actions in specific situations, and paying attention to errors and logic of actions in a specific situation. Enough attention is given to the description of the political situation in wartime and its impact on the work of counterintelligence.

In addition, the writer describes an exhaustive number of abilities, which, in his opinion, should have a good counterintelligence.

The author expresses a critical attitude about the activities of women in the role of intelligence agents.
