Passion around Shakespeare

In this series, Shooters participate in a production of a play called The Gladiator's Dilemma, with the director's wife, police officer Kennedy. Kennedy himself is responsible for special effects and for characters such as the giant Ursus and the elephant. Excited by the production, Ms. Kennedy makes an introductory speech while the children prepare for the performance. Since they were forced to play in a boring performance for them, they in every possible way show their disgust for this event. Having come on the scene, it turns out that all the children do not know their remarks and therefore the police officer Kennedy’s wife constantly prompts them from behind the curtains. All this sight bothers teenagers in the auditorium and they begin to throw cakes and eggs at the actors ...

Passion around Shakespeare was the last episode of Robert Anthony McGowan as a director in the comedy series Our Gang. In the credits, he is listed under the pseudonym Anthony Mack ^[1] to distinguish himself from his uncle Robert Francis McGowan, who was the producer and senior director of the series. The younger McGowan remained part of the series Our Gang as a writer, even when the project was sold to MGM in 1938.
