Criticism
Nikita Yeliseyev spoke of music as being particularly old-fashioned and about the plot as if the story of the hero of the yellow press Rasputin was turned into an epic. Libretto and music constitute a kind of unity of meaning, in which a simple man opposes "perverts villains." Music resembles the music of Soviet opera composers of the 1960s. The leading man had a great bass and played with acting credibility. In general, the opera is “touching, like the Russian words Gospodi, Grigorij Efimovitsch, penetrating into Finnish singing” [2] .
