Biography
Born September 23, 1927 in Triel-sur-Seine ( Yvelines department). He studied at a normal school in Paris-Otoy, then - at the Lyceum Turgot where Marius Schadfo taught at this time. In 1948 he entered the Higher Normal School in Saint-Cloud . After her graduation, for some time received additional education in Orleans and Beauvais .
From 1955 to 1989, A. Belmer was a professor at the Higher Normal School in Saint Cloud. Subsequently, he worked as the director of scientific laboratories at the Higher School.
In 1967 he defended his doctoral dissertation Contribution à l'étude du développement de l'apothécie chez les Discomycètes inoperculés under the leadership of M. Chadfo.
He took part in the First international meeting on the systematics of ascomycetes, held in Paris from May 11 to 14, 1993, and made a presentation on the importance of asci and ascospores in taxonomy.
Died June 2, 2014 .
