Biography

On November 8, 1906, Metropolitan Irenaeus of Melnik (Pandoleondos) was ordained a deacon [1] .

In 1907 he graduated from the Halka Theological School [1] .

In 1914-1918 he served at Phanar as the third patriarchal deacon . In 1918-1922 he served as junior secretary of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, and in 1922-1924 he served as senior secretary of the Synod [1] .

November 30, 1922 by the Patriarch of Constantinople Meletius (Metaxacis) was ordained to the rank of presbyter [1] .

March 16, 1924 in the Patriarchal Church of St. George on Phanar was ordained to the Metropolitan of Sarda. The consecration was performed by the Patriarch of Constantinople Gregory VII , Metropolitan of Nicaea Vasily (Georgiadis) , Metropolitan of Prussia Constantine (Araboglus) , Metropolitan of Neocessaria Agafangel (Constantinidis) , Metropolitan of Sylvia Eugene (Christodoulou) and Metropolitan of Anneap.

March 18, 1924 he was appointed manager of the Pisidian Metropolis , in connection with which he began to be titled Metropolitan of Sardis and Pisidia. November 9, 1943 released from the management of the Pisidian Metropolitanate [1] .

He died on March 3, 1945 in Istanbul as a result of heart disease [1] .
