Biography
Born on May 15, 1922 in the village of Ahmedalilar, Jabrail district, Elizavetpol province (now the Fizuli region of Azerbaijan).
Member of the Great Patriotic War. Called in February 1942, he fought as part of the 312 rifle regiment of the 26 rifle division. He excelled in the war, as a result of which he was awarded the Order of Glory of the III degree.
Since 1947, he is a tractor driver at the Karyaginskaya MTS, a tractor driver and mechanic on the collective farm "April 28" in the Fizuli District. Received in 1949 a high yield of cotton in the collective farms served - 42.4 centners of cotton per hectare over an area of 135 hectares.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated July 12, 1950 , Abbasov Movsum Nasir oglu was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Sickle and Hammer gold medal for high cotton yields in 1949.
He actively participated in the public life of Azerbaijan. Member of the CPSU since 1945 .
He died on May 27, 1990 in his native village.
