Story
The story focuses on an elderly widower named Karl Fredriksen and a seriously young man named Russell, who fly to South America on a balloon-hung house.
The PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii versions follow the plot of the cartoon more tightly, spanning eleven levels, with some liberties. The PS2, PSP and PC options are a much easier adaptation in which Karl and Russell try to travel longer paths through the jungle, trying to reach Paradise Falls. Consequently, these versions have more than 20 levels.
Gameplay
“Up” follows the storyline of the film, in which Karl, Russell and Doug walk through the jungle of Venezuela. All the characters mentioned are reproduced in the game. The game contains multiplayer gameplay and air combat in addition to the main game.
The PlayStation 3 version of the game was Pixar's first game to support a trophy system. This version and the Xbox 360 version are available in online achievements , which are indicated by the Wilderness Explorer badges.
