Pavlidis, Ioannis

Ioannis Pavlidis ( Greek Ιωάννης Παυλίδης , English Ioannis Pavlidis ) - American scientist - biologist of Greek origin [1] , professor at the University of Houston (UH), founder and director of the laboratory of computational physiology at UH (since 2002) [2] . Member of the Association of Computer Engineering , Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers , as well as the Technical Chamber of Greece [3] . Education

He graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Thracian University named after Democritus ( Xanthi , East Macedonia and Thrace , Greece ) with a Bachelor of Science degree “ with the highest honor ” (1987), the Department of Robotics and Automation at Imperial College London ( Great Britain ) with a Master of Science degree (1989), Department of Computer Science University of Minnesota ( Minneapolis , USA ) with degrees of Master of Science (1995) and Ph.D. (1996) [3] .

Career

1994-1996: Research Fellow , University of Minnesota.

1996-1997: Research Fellow, Honeywell Laboratories.

1997-1999: Senior Researcher, Honeywell Laboratories.

1999-2001: Principal Researcher, Honeywell Laboratories.

2001-2002: Senior Principal Research Scientist, Honeywell Laboratories.

2002-2006: Associate Professor , Department of Computer Science, University of Houston.

Since 2006: Professor (since October - registered ), Department of Computer Science, University of Houston [3] .
