The plant was built taking into account the latest achievements of the world sugar-making practice and was equipped with modern technological and energy equipment. The raw material for sugar production was sugar beet [1] .
Later, new technological processes were introduced into production [1] .
In 1977, the plant produced 69.9 thousand tons of granulated sugar and 19.7 thousand briquetted pulp [1] .

After the independence of Ukraine, the plant was transformed into an open joint stock company .
In May 1995, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine included the plant in the list of enterprises subject to privatization during 1995 [6] .
In 1997, the plant became the property of ZAO TD Artemida. In November 1998, at the request of the Techresurs research and production association, the Arbitration Court of the Kirovograd Region began consideration of case No. 336/6 on bankruptcy of the Dolinsky Sugar Plant open joint-stock company [7] .
As of 2012, the plant was no longer functioning, but the regional administration of the Kirovograd region was considering the possibility of using its production facilities [8] .
