Biography
Born in 1922 in the village of Krakeze. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1943.
Since 1942 - on economic, social and political work. In 1942 - 1987 - Secretary of the Komsomol of the 16th Lithuanian Rifle Division , First Secretary of the Komsomol, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Lithuanian SSR , Head of the Department of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Lithuanian Republican Party School, Editor of the Lithuanian Soviet Encyclopedia, Head of the Department of Philosophy, Law and Sociology of the Institute of History Lithuanian SSR, organizer and first rector of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of Lithuania, secretary of the Academy of Sciences of the Lithuanian SSR.
He was elected deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 2nd convocation.
He died in 1999 in Vilnius.
