History
Zyryanovka was founded in 1710 [2] . In 1899, in the village of Zyryanskaya, belonging to the Mariinsky Volost of Barnaul Uyezd , there were 162 yards (161 peasant and 1 non-peasant) and 1040 people (510 men and 530 women) lived. A literacy school, a trading shop and a private drinking establishment were functioning [3] . As of 1911, Zyryanovka included 194 yards. The population at that time was 1258 people [4] .
In 1926, there were 242 households in the village and 1350 people lived (647 men and 703 women). A first-level school and a consumer society shop functioned. Administratively, Zyryanovka was the center of the village council of the Chumysh district of the Barnaul district of the Siberian region [2] .
Geography
The village is located in the north-eastern part of the Altai Territory, on the right bank of the Mostovaya River, at a distance of about 5 kilometers (in a straight line) southeast of the city of Zarinsk , the administrative center of the region. The absolute height is 236 meters above sea level [5] .
The climate is temperate, continental . The average January temperature is −17.7 ° C, July - +19.2 ° C. The annual amount of precipitation is 450 mm [6] .
