Konstantinos Mitsopoulos ( Greek Κωνσταντίνος Μητσόπουλος , 1844, Patra - 1911, Athens ) - Greek geologist, physicist and mathematician.

Curriculum vitae
Konstantinos Mitsopoulos was born in Patras in 1844. He became the first scientist to have a doctorate at the University of Athens . Subsequently, he received a government scholarship and studied at the University of Freiburg . After returning to Greece, he was appointed professor at the university and at the Technical University . In 1910 he was appointed rector of the Technical University.
Konstantinos Mitsopoulos became the founder of geology and mineralogy in Greece.
