Biography
Born in Revel on March 11, 1825. The parents of Nikolai Alekseevich were lieutenant-captain A.N. Bekleshov (at that time lieutenant of 19th fleet crew, died in 1829) and Evdokia Pavlovna, born Levitskaya (daughter of lieutenant-general Pavel Levitsky). He was baptized in the Revel Orthodox Marine Semionovskaya Church on March 12, 1825.
At the age of seven, he entered the sea company of the Petersburg Cadet Corps. In 1834, he was enrolled in the Naval Cadet Corps as a cadet. In 1842 he was promoted to midshipmen with admission to the service.
In 1844 he was promoted to midshipmen with admission to the Black Sea Fleet. In 1849, in the Tezey brig, he sailed - first to Constantinople, and then to the shores of Greece. Upon his return, he was promoted to lieutenant and transferred to the ship " Grand Duke Constantine ", on which he took part in the Battle of Sinop on November 30, 1853, for which he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th degree. During the defense of Sevastopol, he was on the 3rd bastinone and on the battery of the defensive line of the northern side No. 29. For the defense of Sevastopol he received the golden weapon "For Bravery" , as well as two orders - St. Anna of the 3rd degree with swords and St. Stanislav 2nd degree with swords.
In 1856 he was transferred to the Baltic, and until 1858 he served on the ships " Do not touch me " and "Saint Vladimir". At the beginning of 1858, he was promoted to captain-lieutenant , in the same year Proskov Borisovna, daughter of Baron B. A. Vrevsky and Baroness E. N. Vrevskaya (born Wolfe) , proposed and married her. After the wedding, the young people moved to Kronstadt , and Nikolai Alekseevich went to a round-the-world voyage on the corvette “ Rynda ”.
In the years 1860-1861 as a senior officer was on the frigate " General-Admiral ." He brought a cypress cross from Constantinople and donated it to the church of St. Nicholas the Trinity Worker in the village of Kachanovo, which is still kept in the altar with the inscription on the sign “This crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ brought from Jerusalem, from the tomb of the Lord and donated by the fleet by captain-lieutenant Nikolai Alekseevich B. .
In 1862 he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 2nd degree with swords for merits. In 1862 he was appointed commander of the frigate " Dmitry Donskoy ", on which on October 20 he went with midshipmen and conductors to practical sailing in the Atlantic Ocean , on returning from sailing he was promoted to the rank of captain of the 2nd rank.
In connection with the deteriorating health, in 1865, he asked for a transfer for the service of territorial institutions, leaving the fleet on the list. In 1869 he retired with production in the captains of the 1st rank.
In 1868-1869 he was an honorary magistrate of the Ostrovsky district of the Pskov province. He was elected chairman of the Ostrovsky district district council, and in 1870–1871 - the district council of the Pskov province, and finally moved to the village of Trumalevo, Kachanovskaya volost .
In 1872, Nikolai Alekseevich and Proskovya Borisovna adopted the newborn boy planted by him, since they did not have their own children, they were called Nikolai. Later, Nikolai Alekseevich introduced the adopted son into the sixth part of his genealogical book, thereby making him the legitimate heir of the noble family of the Bekleshovs . From 1880 to 1888 he was chairman of the Pskov provincial district council. In 1887–1890 and 1895–1900, he was a full state councilor. Ostrovsky district leader of the nobility.
In the early 1900s, Nikolai Alekseevich and Proskovya Borisovna allocated land in the village of Aksenova Gora (Pskov Region, Palkinsky District, p / o Gorbunova Gora , Akostonova Gora Churchyard) for the construction of a chapel (church). The construction began in 1901, the architect FV Rybinsky. The Bekleshovs' couple also supplied bricks for construction for free.
Nikolai Alekseevich died on March 22, 1903 in the estate of Trumalevo, Ostrovsky district, Pskov province, and was buried on the churchyard of the Assumption church in the village of Aksenovo . The Church of the Assumption of the Most Holy Theotokos, which he had begun, was finished in 1905.
