Berdyev, Tagan Berdyevich

Born June 2 (15), 1911 in the family of a poor peasant in the village of Daina, Kara-Kalinsky District, Trans-Caspian Region. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1940.

He graduated from a Soviet school in the Baharchensky district in 1925. In 1925-1929. student of a pedagogical college.

• 1929-1931 teacher of Russian and Turkmen language and literature of a secondary school in the Kara-Kalinsky district.
• 1931 fighter of the communist anti-Basmach detachment in the Dargan-Ata region.
• 1931-1933 studies at the Ashgabat Institute of Pedagogy
• 1933-1937 head teacher of a technical school in Mary, head teacher of a teacher training faculty and director of a school in Ashgabat
• 1937-1938 training courses at the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks (Moscow).
• 1938-1940 Head of Department, Deputy Commissar of Education of the Turkmen SSR.
• 1940-1947 People's Commissar (Minister) of Education of the Turkmen SSR.
• 1947-1951 deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Turkmen SSR, simultaneously in 1947-1955 Minister of Foreign Affairs.
• 1951-1956 President of the Academy of Sciences of the Turkmen SSR .
• 1956-1959 professor of the Department of Pedagogy of the Turkmen State University named after M. Gorky.
• 1959-1965 academician-secretary of the Department of Social Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the Turkmen SSR.
• 1965-1967 Director of the Central Scientific Library of the Academy of Sciences of the TSSR.
• from May 1967 to December 1970, retired for health reasons.
• December 1970 - October 1973 again director of the Central Scientific Library of the Academy of Sciences of the TSSR.
• since October 1973, senior research associate, Department of Philosophy and Law, Academy of Sciences of the TSSR

Candidate (1943), doctor (1951) of pedagogical sciences, professor.

He was elected deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 2nd convocation.

He died in the 1980s.
