Biography
He played as a defender, began his career in the Winnipeg Pilgrims in the Junior Hockey League in 1927. Having played two seasons, he entered the University of Manitoba and became a player in the university team. In 1931, he made his debut in the Winnipeg Winnipegs team, winning the Allan Cup with her in 1931 with her . A participant in the 1932 Olympics, scored six goals in five games as a striker (coach Jack Hughes put him in this position). After the Winter Games, Simpson tried to qualify for the Canadian rowing team to participate in the Summer Games in Los Angeles , but did not make it to the final bid.
After the Winter Olympics, Simpson played at the Windsor Bulldogs of the International Hockey League, held one match for the Quebec Castors in the Canadian-American Hockey League. Some time trained in the " Montreal Marunz " of the NHL , but in 1933 he was expelled from the club. He completed his career in the 1933/1934 season of the Quebec Hockey League for the Montreal Royals (14 matches). Included in the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 2004, posthumously as a member of the team that won the Allan Cup in 1931.
