Hugh Robert Sutherland ( born Hugh Robert Sutherland ; February 2, 1907 , Winnipeg - September 9, 1990 , ibid.) - Canadian hockey player, champion of the Winter Olympics in 1932 (and part-time world champion) in the national team of Canada.

Biography
He played as a defender, played from 1922 to 1927 for the Elmwood Millionaires, since 1929 he played for the Winnipeg Winnipegs. In 1930 it was signed by the American club Minneapolis Millers, but did not play a single match. In 1931, he won the Allan Cup as part of Winnipeg Winnipegs and got to the Olympics, where in six games he scored one goal. After the Olympics, he played for the clubs Selkirk Fisherman, Winnipeg Winnipegs and Winnipeg Brokers. In 1937 he completed his career.
Since the 1970s, Sutherland has been the organizer of the Silver Stick Tournament in Sarnia, Ontario. He was included in the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 2004 posthumously as a member of the team that won the Allan Cup in 1931.
