Born in 1902 in the Kamenets district. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1929.

Since 1924 - on economic, social and political work. In 1924 - 1960 - in military-political work in parts of the Kiev military district, military commissar of the 1st cavalry corps, operations department of the headquarters of the South-West direction, deputy chief of the political department of the 21st and 6th armies, head of the political department, member of the Military Council of the 69th army , Deputy Head of the Political Department of the Baku Military District; Head of the Political Department of the 4th Army; Member of the Military Council of the Primorsky and Transbaikal Military Districts.

He was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of the 4th convocation.

Dismissed to the reserve in 1960.
