Player Career

A native of Brisbane (Corinda district), Charlotte began playing rugby for the amateur club "Tribe", she was also fond of touch rugby at the school level. She graduated from Brisbane State High School , has been playing for Australia's rugby 7 team since May 2013 (Amsterdam 2012/2013 World Series). By December 2015, she played 13 games for the national team, gaining 155 points thanks to 31 attempts [7] . At the domestic level, Charlotte represents Queensland.

As part of the Australian rugby 7 team, Keslik performed at the 2013 Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney, as well as at the World Rugby 7 Championship in Moscow . In the World Series of the 2014/2015 season, Keslik was honored with getting into the symbolic team, and in 2015 she was also nominated for the title of the best rugby player (rugby-7) of the world [8] . In 2016, Charlotte Caslik got into the application of the Australian rugby 7 team for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (game number 4). At the tournament, Kaslik brought in seven attempts: three in the match against Colombia , two in the match against Spain , one in matches against Fiji and New Zealand . In the final against the New Zealanders, Charlotte brought in the last attempt of the Australian team, and with a score of 24:17 her team won the final and won Olympic gold in this sport [9] . As an Olympic champion, on January 26, 2017, Australia Day, Kaslik was awarded the Australia Order Medal [10] [11] .

In October 2016, Kaslik received the prize for Australia's Best Rugby Player of the Year (Rugby 7) [12] .

Charlotte Kaslik stands in defense as a scrum midfielder, is distinguished by great endurance and good speed performance. Critics spoke of her as one of the best rugby players in the world playing rugby 7 thanks to her games in the World Series for the Australian national team [13] .
