Operational zone is a military term that denotes a part of the water area of the sea or ocean theater of operations , within which the systematic activity of the naval forces is carried out [1] [2] . In the operating area , the established operational mode is maintained, reconnaissance is ongoing, basing and deployment of fleet forces for combat operations is provided [1] [2] .
Between the operational zones of the associations of the navies of the allied countries, borders can be established [2] . Within the operational zone of the fleet’s forces, operational zones for its fleets and naval bases can be allocated, and the operational zone of the naval base in order to combat surface, submarine craft , aircraft and sabotage forces of the enemy is usually equipped with a variety of (radio engineering, sonar) etc.) by means of monitoring the surface of the ocean, airspace and the underwater environment [1] [2] .
The distribution of operational zones and their spatial extent depends on the balance of the naval forces of the warring parties, the nature of the combat tasks to be solved, the military-political situation and the physical and geographical conditions at the theater of operations. The boundaries of the operational zones of the fleet's forces may change with a change in any of these parameters [1] [2] .
