He graduated from the faculty of aircraft radio electronics (FRELA) of the Moscow Aviation Institute (1953). He worked in the same place: assistant of the department "Radiolocation", graduate student (1954-1957), then senior teacher of the department "Theoretical Radio Engineering", since 1983 head of the department.
In 1962−1972, the rector of the institute of technical education MAI, from 1971 to 2001, the dean of the faculty "Radio electronics LA".
Candidate of Technical Sciences (1960), Professor (1978).
Author of scientific papers in the field of detection and identification of radio signals.
Winner of the State Prize of the USSR (1984), Prizes of the Council of Ministers of the USSR (1989), Prizes of the Department of Radiophysics of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1978), Prizes named after the 25th anniversary of the MAI (1960, 1999), Prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation for 2000 for scientific and practical development New technologies for training specialists for industry and the Armed Forces according to an integrated methodology ”for educational institutions of higher professional education.
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1980) and "Badge of Honor" (1971), three medals, badges "Honorary Radio Operator of the USSR", "Honored Worker of Higher Education", "Excellent Border Troops", medals VDNH.
