McKernan, James

James McKernan ( born March 19, 1964, London , London ) ^[1] is a British mathematician who served as professor of mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2013 .

Upon graduation in 1985 , Cambridge University received a bachelor of science degree .

McKernan and his colleague Christopher Hackon won two Cole ^{[2] [3]} and Clay ^[4] awards. In 2010, he delivered a lecture at the International Congress of Mathematicians on the topic “ Algebraic geometry ” ^[5] .
