The beginning of the river is the source of Choban-Kule-Chokrak [3] , on the southeastern slope of the Main ridge of the Crimean mountains , at the top of Chok-Sary-Kayazil-Kaya [4] . It flows almost meridionally from north to south. In some sources, the upper reaches of Cheban-Kule is called Tuz-Erler , in the middle reaches - Yurtyn-Uzen [5] [6] [7] . The river is shallow, has runoff only in spring and after heavy rains; mudflows are typical [8] . It flows into the Black Sea four kilometers west of the village of Morskoye , at Cape Choban-Kule [5] or Agira [4] . According to the reference book “Surface water bodies of the Crimea”, there are 8 unnamed tributaries [2] near the river, some are named on detailed maps: right, from the mouth - Muchinin- deresi , Shangrei-dere , left - Jafstolun and Kirim [5] [7] .
