Anjara ( Arabic: عنجرة ) is a city in northwestern Jordan , located in the territory of Ajloun governorate. It is part of the Ajlun region.

Geographical position
The city is located in the eastern part of the governorate, west of the Jebel Ajloun ridge, at a distance of about 31 kilometers (in a straight line) to the north-north-west (NNW) from the country's capital, Amman . The absolute height is 1020 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the official census of 2015, the population was 25 981 people (13 470 men and 12 511 women). The city had 5096 households [2] .
Transport
Through the city passes the national highway number 20 ( Jarash - Al-Mafraq ). The nearest airport is Amman [1] .
