History
The newspaper leads the story from the issue of Izvestia Izhevsk Soviet of Workers, Soldiers and Peasants' Deputies, issued on September 7 (20), 1917, organizer and first editor V. A. Matveev .
During the Izhevsk-Votkinsk uprising in August 1918, the publication of the newspaper was interrupted, but in October of this year, the political department of the 2nd Army of the Eastern Front in Sarapul began to publish the newspaper "Struggle", the editorial staff was headed by the commissar of the Azin Division , a Petrograd journalist D. F. Zorin .
Since November 7, 1918, after the liberation of Izhevsk, the newspaper was transferred to Izhevsk, became the organ of the Izhevsk Revolutionary Council, and on December 4, 1918 the name of the newspaper was changed to Izhevskaya Pravda. From the end of December, the editors of the newspaper were the chairmen of the revision council R. S. Shaposhnikov and V. A. 1920-1941
Since July 30, 1919, the newspaper has been the organ of the Izhevsk district revolutionary committee, then the executive committee of the RCP (b). The editor is P.I. Shikhanov , head of the campaign department, then P. Krutov, chairman of the district executive committee.
In 1920, the circulation of the newspaper was already 8,000 copies, and gradually it became a mass publication.
Since June 1921, it was the organ of the Izhevsk District Council of Workers, Peasants and Red Army Deputies.
In the 1920s and 1930s, the Izhevskaya Pravda newspaper became the main [2] publication in Udmurtia (along with the Gudyri newspaper in the Udmurt language).
Since 1924, to cover the life of the village, the newspaper published the daily application “The Voice of the Peasant” (later “New Village”, since 1930 - “Collective Farm Truth”), which was discontinued in 1931 with the creation of district newspapers in accordance with the decree of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b ) "On the rural district and grassroots press."

During the Great Patriotic War

In July 1941, the correspondent of the newspaper Nikolai Vladimirov went to the front, served in the artillery of the 54th Infantry Division , participated in the Battle of Stalingrad , died on January 4, 1943 in a battle near the village of Novotsimlyanskaya where he was buried in a mass grave. 1945-1990
