Career
In 1955, Frans de Rooy, at the age of twenty, moved to the NLAA football club from Tilburg, before that the goalkeeper played for the club RKH [1] . In the transitional season 1955/56, his team took 9th place in Group A of the championship and, following the results of butt matches, got the right to play in the new tournament - Eredivisi, the country's single championship.
France played the first game in the new championship on February 3, 1957 against Sparta Rotterdam, appearing as a substitute at the end of the meeting instead of Ko Huysman - on the road at Het Castel stadium his team lost 2-1 [2] . He played his second match of the season on April 22 against PSV , also coming on as a substitute [3] . NOAD in the first ever Eredivisi season took 12th place.
In the 1957–58 season, de Roy appeared on the field in only one match of the championship - on January 5, 1958 against Sparta [4] . On the road to Rotterdam, Kes van Dycke's wards lost with a crushing score of 8: 1 [5] . At the end of the season left the team [6] .
Personal life
France was born in April 1935 in the city of Tilburg [7] . Father - Henrikus Jacobus de Rooy, mother - Adriana Maria Hubert Brauer, both parents were from Tilburg. In addition to France, their family also had a daughter, Anna Cornelia Maria Antonia, who was born in July 1937.
