Franz Werner von Tamm known as Dapper ( 1658 - 1724 ) is a German Baroque artist. One of the most famous masters of German still life of the late XVII - early XVIII century.

He studied painting in Italy. He studied under D. von Esten and G. Pfeifer. In 1685-1695 he worked in Rome in the workshop of Nuzzi (Mario di Fiori). He also studied at the workshop of Carlo Maratta .
In 1702, he was in Passau, and then settled in Vienna. Since 1695 he was a court painter of the Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I.
He painted with a soft brush live and dead poultry, as well as flowers and animals, rather decorative with an immediate mood.
