Biography
Born in 1350 Hijri (1931 or 1932) in Bukeiria , al-Qasim . Until 2009, he headed the post of the High Judicial Council , since 1992 it has been considered its most influential member. He graduated from the Sharia Department of the University of Damascus . He worked as secretary and deputy for legal affairs at Muhammad ibn Ibrahim Al al-Sheikh . In 1964, he headed the supreme court of Riyadh after being appointed deputy head in 1963. In 1969, he received a degree from the Higher Institute of Law and continued to work in the supreme court until 1970. In 1982, he was appointed chairman of the standing committee of the High Judicial Council. He worked there as vice chairman until in 1992 he became chairman of the assembly. He has been a member of the Kibar al-Ulyama since 1971, as well as the World Islamic League . He was the editor-in-chief of ar-rai magazine, taught at masjid al-haram . He published fatwas on the daily radio program Nur ala d Darb on the Quranic radio of Saudi Arabia, where a lot of ulami answered questions from listeners, the oldest and most popular program broadcast daily at 21:00.
