Career

Jan Losé began his football career on the Ons Vios team from Tilburg. At the age of 16, he was called up to the Tilburg youth team [1] [2] . Later he moved to another Tilburg club - NLA . In 1947, as part of the reserve team, he became the winner of the second class championship among reservists [3] . At the base, he made his debut in 1950 at the age of 23, initially playing in the team as a midfielder, and then became a right-back.

In May 1955, as an employee of the postal and telegraph service, Lose was called up to the Netherlands national team among the postal and telegraph employees for a trip to Italy [4] . In June, the Dutch in San Remo held two friendly matches with colleagues from Italy, in both meetings they lost with a total score of 9: 1 [5] .

In the transitional season 1955/56, the SPLA team took 9th place in Group A of the championship and, following the results of butt matches, got the right to play in the new tournament - Eredivisi, the country's single championship. Jan played the first game in the new championship on September 2, 1956 against the BVK club Amsterdam - at the Industristrat stadium, his team lost to the guests with a score of 1: 3 [6] . During the season, Lose played 26 matches in the championship - NLA in the first ever Eredivisi season took 12th place.

For three seasons in the Eredivisi he played for the club 59 matches. In June 1960 he was put up for transfer [7] .

Personal life

Jan was born in April 1927 in the city of Tilburg . Father - Joannes Anthonyus Lose, mother - Adriana Maria Elizabeth Reinen, both parents were from Tilburg. In addition to Ian, their family also had a daughter - Joanna Cornelia Adriana.

He died in August 2004, was married to Corrie van Wesenbeck [8] . He was buried in the city cemetery in Tilburg [9] .
