Biography
Dizaster's parents are from Lebanon . He is also known as Bashir Bakalakadaka [1] . In the 1980s, the Bashir family moved to Lebanon , and in the 1990s, after the civil war in the country, returned to the United States . Writing rap Bashir began in Lebanon, then in the United States began to participate in rap battles. Bashir often skipped school, and in the end he quit altogether. Instead, he worked occasionally. In order to have enough for life and to record his tracks in the studio, I got a job working as a taxi driver, having previously passed the exams for getting rights. He recorded his first tracks at the age of 16 - at the same time the pseudonym Dizaster appeared. The pseudonym is derived from the English “disaster” ( Russian catastrophe ) and refers to stereotypes in the USA about Arabs as terrorists.
Creativity
Dizaster began his career in the battle rap in the 2000s. He played on American venues Basementality, Red Bull Emsee, Jump Off, Tourettes Without Regrets, LA Battlegroundz, Ground Zero, URL, GrindTime. The first serious performances took place in 2006 - then he became a member of the battles held in the basement music store. Later these events were called Basementality. The first battle video on YouTube was posted in 2007, where it was opposed to Lush One at the Jump Off site. In 2008, GrindTime defeated opponents such as Illmaculate, Arsonal, The Saurus and others [1] . Already in those years, Eminem and Slim Shady had a noticeable influence on the Dizaster style, which he was constantly accused of. However, since then he has developed his own style based on aggressive pitch and expressive intonation. In 2009, Dizaster, who plays for the American GrindTime Battleground, criticized the Canadian King of the Dot , accusing it of “stealing the format” of GrindTime. After that, on the GrindTime site, a battle took place between Dizaster and the founder of King of the Dot - Organik. Soon after, GrindTime's popularity began to decline, and Dizaster began to perform in the King of the Dot [2] .
In 2012, winning a battle against rapper Canibus at the King of the Dot court, Dizaster became the league champion. In 2013, Dizaster in the battle with Arsonal could not defend his champion title, then in 2014 he lost to Pat Stay. In the same year, at the end of the fight with Math Hoffa hit him and was disqualified, after the mass brawl he had fought, he was forced to pay a fine for the broken equipment. In 2014, he was expelled from the King of the Dot for one year. He took part in a television show about rap battles in the format of the reality show Total Slaughter, organized with the participation of Eminem. Dizaster dropped out on the very first stage of the show. In 2015, held a rap battle with Cassidy. Dizaster's style is characterized by quick reading, complex rhymes, aggressive and sharp verses, and a sudden freestyle. He is one of the top five rappers in the United States in terms of the number of battles played - 98 [1] [4] . Often he builds punchlines on banal jokes of his opponents - that he is Syrian, terrorist, Muslim, and so on [5] [6] .
Dizaster vs Oxxxymiron
On October 16, 2017, at the King of the Dot, as part of World Domination 2017, his battle took place with the Russian rapper Oxxxymiron , which was planned back in 2015. Battle caused a wide resonance and became the most viewed video site King of the Dot. Battle did not officially sue, but Dizaster recognized the victory of the opponent after the end [7] . Dizaster's favorite puncher called “You mad cause Iʼm Joseph Stalin on you” (“You’re mad about mewent to you as Joseph Stalin / crushed you with style ”).
