History
Originally known as the village farm number 2 of the farm "Romashkovsky." By the decision of the Executive Committee of the Volgograd Regional Council of December 4, 1964 No. 34/501, the village of the farm No. 2 of the farm "Romashkovsky" in the village of Rodina. However, subsequently the village with this name is not mentioned. In 1987, in the directory of the administrative-territorial division of the region, instead of the village farm number 2 of the farm "Romashkovsky", the village of Prigarino Romashkovsky village council was added [2]
Physico-geographical characteristics
The village is located within the Caspian lowland , on the left bank of the Yama River, at an altitude of about 28 meters above sea level [3] . Soils are chestnut [4] . The terrain is subboreal continental, semi-desert , marine accumulative [5] . This type of landscape is characterized by flat, rarely wavy plains , with sparse beams , lacustrine and salt marshes , with wormwood - fescue - feather grass and wormwood - fescue steppes with plots of agricultural land [6] .
By road, the distance to the administrative center of the rural settlement of Romashki is 6.5 km, to the district center of Pallasovka - 30 km, to the regional center of Volgograd - 310 km [7]
