Club career
Serkan Bakan is a pupil of the Turkish club Gaziantepspor . On January 27, 2016, he made his debut for a club in the Turkish Cup , having replaced his home match against Trabzonspor [2] . On December 27 of the same year, within the framework of the next Turkish Cup, Serkan Bakan scored his first goal on a professional level, having marked himself in the away game with Kirklarelispor [3] .
On May 28, 2017, the young footballer made his debut in the Super League , coming on as a substitute in the end of the home match with Besiktas [4] . On this day he was 16 years old and 147 days old, which made him at that time the third in the list of the youngest debutants of the Turkish Super League. After 5 days, Serkan Bakan scored his first goal in the championship, equalizing the score in the away match against Antalyaspor [5] . He became the first footballer born in the 21st century to score in the Turkish Super League [6] .
In the summer of 2017, Serkan Bakan moved to Goztepe , returning to the Super League.
