Biography

Life in Saratov

Vadim Elizarov was born on June 12, 1949 in Saratov in the family of a worker at the Albert Semenovich Elizarov plant and the head of the kindergarten Vera Nikolayevna Krasnova, was the younger brother Mikhail of 1958.

Grandmother Alexandra Filippovna Yakunina played a decisive role in choosing a profession in 1955–1965 in the classical choreography circle and in 1966–1968 in the folk-stage dance group in the Saratov Palace of Pioneers, directed by the RSFSR Ballet Dancer and Saratov Theater Opera and Ballet by Lydia Arkadevna Shelagurova. Education

Vadim Elizarov attended secondary school No. 20 and No. 8 in the city of Saratov, at the Saratov Aviation Technical School in 1964-1968, and received a degree in Industrial Planning from the Saratov Economic Institute (Russian Economic University) in 1968-1972.

After the technical school, he worked as a mechanic at the Saratov Electrical Instrument Aviation Plant in 1972-1973 at the Gidropromselstroy All-Union State Design Institute as an engineer, economist at Oblknigotorg, as an engineer and senior economist at trust number 7 of Glavprivolzhstroy, as a senior laboratory assistant at Saratovsky, Saratovskiy in 1973-1974 [1] .

Ballroom dancing

In 1970, he created and managed the modern ballroom dance club "Edelweiss" at the Palace of Culture of the Techglass factory, one of the strongest clubs in the Soviet Union, in 1974-1977 he worked as head of a mass department at the Palace of Culture. Pupils became winners of many prestigious competitions and festivals. The Edelweiss team twice in 1974-1975 took the Ukrainian Cup in Donetsk. For several years he was the organizer of the annual tournament "Crystal Prize" of the factory "Techglass", at that time almost unofficial championship of the country.

Vadim Elizarov - an athlete, became the winner of many All-Russian competitions and cities of the Volga region in ballroom dancing, the repeated winner of the championship of Russia. The duet of Elizarov - Marshev was a member of the national team of the Soviet Union. In the fall of 1977, he organized classes for lovers of ballroom dance "For 30", which was the birth of seniors in Saratov.

In 1977, he worked for three months at the invitation of a choreographer in the Sevastopol House of Culture (Peter and Paul Church). In 1978 he moved to Sevastopol, student Vitaly Baranovsky became the head of the Saratov studio of ballroom dance "Edelweiss".

Victoria Ensemble

In 1978-1985 he worked as an engineer-technologist and adjuster at the Ordzhonikidze Marine Plant (Sevastopol Cultural Complex "Ship"). In 1978 he created the Victoria Ballroom Dance Ensemble on the basis of the plant. In 1983, the ensemble was awarded the title "People". In the 90s, the ensemble under the leadership of Vadim Elizarov relocated to the Palace of Childhood and Youth, led by Valentina Alexandrovna Sytnik.

In 1989, at the European Championship among teams, a formation in Oslo made the world talk about Ukraine. For the first time in the history of the competition, I divided eight pairs into two teams - Montague and Capuleti, before that there was a synchronous performance in the world, the team took 4th place. In 1993, the teams of Vadim Elizarov won the bronze medal of the World Championship, the silver of the open championship of Germany, from 1994 to 1998 entered the final of the World and European Championships. From 1985 to 1999 he raised twenty dance couples of international class, prepared formation teams in all age categories, made the ensemble the 12-time champion of Ukraine, the champion of Russia and the last champion of the USSR. He acted as a judge at the world championships, at the invitation of master classes, demonstration performances of the ensemble in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, the Soviet Union. The leadership and coaching work of Elizarov lasted for thirty years and brought the city of Sevastopol the title of one of the dancing capitals of Ukraine.

The performances of the Victoria ensemble from the Fantasy show in Germany in 1999 inspired Vadim Elizarov to create the world's first theater in the vocabulary of ballroom dance, which became the hallmark and landmark of the city.

Dance Theater

From 2000 to 2012, Vadim Elizarov was the general director, and for 2017, the artistic director of the municipal institution "Sevastopol Dance Theater", which was signed by the chairman of the city administration Leonid Mikhailovich Zhunko dated 03.12.1999 No. 2183-r, with temporary placements in the sports hall of the Palace childhood and adolescence. By decree of the Minister of Culture and President of Ukraine Viktor Andreyevich Yushchenko of 07.12.2009 No. 1102/0/16, the dance theater was given Academic status [2] , fifteen artists were awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine and the title of the Republic of Crimea. Theater named after A.V. Lunacharsky

From 2012 to 2014 he worked as the general director of the municipal institution “Sevastopol Academic Russian Drama Theater named after A.V. Lunacharsky " [4] . He completed the repair of fire extinguishing systems, air conditioning, ventilation, opened the Small Stage, a theater cafe, eliminated the Teatralny night club and prepared a platform for creating the third underground stage, reduced the theater’s public utility and wage arrears, signed contracts with art-production specialists, administrators, designers, increased the number of productions, restored children's performances.

In the repertoire of the theater, through the efforts of Elizarov, performances of well-known directors from the capital began to appear. Projects and Awards

In 2014, Vadim Elizarov headed the Crimean branch of the RTS [7] . Institutional Conflict

The farewell ceremony with Vadim Elizarov was held at the Sevastopol Dance Theater on May 31, the funeral was held at the Vladimir Cathedral (the tomb of Admirals). Friends and co-workers say: “He wanted one thing - to keep the theater and develop it” [15] .

In August 2017, the city government assigned the State Autonomous Establishment of Culture "Sevastopol Academic Dance Theater" named after Vadim Elizarov [16] .
