History
PADIHINO - the village of the Gorshinsky Society, the parish of the village of Zvany.

At the end of the 19th century - the beginning of the 20th century, the village administratively belonged to the Bolshedvorskaya volost of the 3rd district of the 1st camp of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province .

According to the map of the Novgorod province of 1913, the village consisted of two parts: Bolshaya Padikhino from 13 peasant households and Maloye Padikhino from 4 [4] .
From 1917 to 1918 the village was part of the Bolshedvorskaya volost of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province.
Since 1918, as part of the Cherepovets province .
Since 1924, as part of the Suburban parish.
Since 1927, as part of the Borkovsky Village Council of the Tikhvin District .
In 1928, the village had a population of 100 [5] .
According to the data of 1933, Padihino village was part of the Borkovsky Village Council of the Tikhvin District [6] .
Since 1952, as part of the Boksitogorsky District.
Since 1954, in the Bolshedvorsky Village Council.
Since 1963, again in the composition of the Tikhvin region.
Since 1965, again as part of the Boksitogorsky District. In 1965, the population of the village was 59 [5] .
According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Padikhino was also a member of the Bolshedvorsky Village Council of the Boksitogorsky District [7] [8] [9] .
In 1997, 12 people lived in the village of Padikhino of the Bolshedvorsky volost, in 2002 - 13 people (Russian - 92%) [10] [11] .

Geography
It is located in the northwestern part of the district to the north of the A114 road.
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 13 km [12] .
The distance to the nearest railway station Bolshaya Dvor is 10 km [7] .
The village is located on the right bank of the river Tikhvinka .
