Born on April 2, 1936 in Leningrad. Daughter of Academician Gleb Mikhailovich Frank (1904—1976).

In 1959–1983 she worked at LPI: Junior Researcher, from 1962 Research Associate, from 1976 Senior Researcher.

Since 1983, at the Institute of General Physics: Senior Researcher, since 1990, Chief Researcher.

Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1973), thesis "Experimental study of the conditions of occurrence and some characteristics of a neutral current sheet in a plasma."

Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1990), thesis "Current layers and flare processes in plasma." Professor.

USSR State Prize in 1982 (as part of a team) - for the series of works "Dynamics of current layers and solar activity" (1966-1980).

Husband - Vladimir Nikolaevich Murzin, daughters Marina and Tatiana.
