Early life and education
Hughes was born in Chester , Cheshire ; he attended a local school and attended the Liverpool Youth Theater Group and was a member of the Cheshire Youth Theater [2] . In 2008, he graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts with a bachelor of arts degree in acting. [3]
Career
In 2009, Hughes starred in the BBC series Royal Hospital and the ITV series Trinity. In 2010, he appeared in the biopic “ Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll ” as Chaz Junkel, a member of the band Ian Dury [3] . For this role, Hughes was nominated for the British Independent Film Award in the nomination "Most Promising Debut" [4] . In the same year, he played the main role in the film "Town of Cemetri" [5] [6] . He also appeared in the production of David Harrower's play Sweet Nothings directed by Luke Bondi at the Young Wick Theater [7] . In 2011, he appeared in the BBC legal drama “ Silk ” [8] [9] , as well as in the BBC thriller “Page 8” with Rafe Fiennes and Rachel Weisz .
In 2014, Hughes played Joe Lambley in the BBC television series Cold War Game. [10] In 2016, he received the role of Prince Albert in the historical drama ITV Victoria .
