The ancient settlement ( Belor. Garadzіshcha ) is a village in the Kamenets district of the Brest region of Belarus . It is part of the Dmitrovichsky village council . The population of 22 people (2009) [1] .

Geography
The hillfort is located 7 km northwest of the city of Kamenets . The area belongs to the Vistula basin , in the village begins a small stream flowing into the Lesnaya river. The local highway Kamenetz - Yanushi passes through the village, two more local roads lead to the neighboring villages of Robenka and Khodosa [2] .
History
In the village, the wooden Peter and Paul Church, built according to some sources, in 1698 [3] , according to others - at the end of the XVIII century [4] . A wooden belfry was added at the beginning of the 19th century.
After the third division of the Commonwealth (1795), the Settlement within the Russian Empire belonged to the Brest district of the Grodno province .
In the XIX century the estate passed into the ownership of Matusevich. In 1864, the Peter and Paul Church was renovated and restored. In 1897, the village consisted of 21 courtyards and 155 inhabitants, there was a church, a parish school, a shop, a windmill and a forge [3] .
According to the Riga Peace Treaty (1921), the village became part of inter-war Poland , where it belonged to the Brest district of the Polessk Voivodeship . In 1923, there were 21 courtyards and 94 inhabitants. Since 1939, as part of the BSSR [3] .
Attractions
- Church of St. Peter and Paul. Wooden Church, a monument of wooden folk architecture [4] . It is included in the State list of historical and cultural values of the Republic of Belarus [5] .
