History
The first mention of the village dates back to the beginning of the XVII century. The name Tatarren received from the Tatar colony that existed here.
In 1817, Ernst von Sauken from Tarpuchen (now the village of Luzhki) acquired the Tatarren estate. In 1848, the von Saucken family built a manor house in Tatarren. In 1903-1904, the estate was rebuilt, expanded, water and electricity were installed.
The Tatarren stud farm bred Trakenens and was one of the five largest stud farms in the district.
During World War I, the Tatarren estate was seriously damaged in a battle near the village of Adamheide. In 1917, it was restored on investments received from central Germany.
According to the 1925 census, 230 people lived in Tatarren, in 1930 their number grew to 300. According to 1939, there were 267 people in Tatarren. [2]
He was part of the Novostroevsky rural settlement .
