Story
Madame Ranevskaya is an elderly aristocratic lady who returned from France to her homeland with her daughter. Her estate “Cherry Orchard” is put up for sale because of debts, but despite financial problems, Ranevskaya continues to live in the past, deceiving herself and building empty hopes. The buyer is the merchant Lopakhin, who intends to cut down the garden and lease the land.
