At the end of the 13th century, the Issiki clan became the head of the Issiki domain in Mikawa province [1] .
Members of the Issiki clan held prominent posts in the government of the Ashikaga shogunate [1] . The Issiki clan was one of four clans that alternately led the Batto military department of Samurai-Dokoro [3] .
Since 1336, the heads of the Issiki clan held the posts of military governors ( shugo ) of the province of Tango . In 1575, Oda Nobunaga subjugated the province of Tango to his power [4] .
