In 2007, he became the director and screenwriter of the movie "The Killing Party", where one of the roles was played by his childhood friend, Macon Blair .
In 2013, he released the film " Catastrophe ", which received praise from critics. He holds a rating of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and 77/100 on Metacritic . The film was nominated for the John Cassavetes Prize at the 2015 Independent Spirit Award Ceremony.
In 2015, Saulnier shot his third full-length film, the Green Room thriller, where the main roles were played by Patrick Stewart , Anton Yelchin and Imogen Putts [2] [3] [4] .
Saulier’s next film will be William Giraldi’s adaptation of the novel “Hold the Dark” for Netflix as written by Macon Blair [5] .
