Training

In 1903 he graduated from a real school in Warsaw, in 1903 passed exams and received a certificate of maturity without ancient languages ​​No. 859 in the Zlatopol male gymnasium [1] , and in 1904 there passed the exams and received a certificate of maturity in full under No. 752 [ 2] .

He received medical education in Warsaw , Kiev (doctor's diploma in 1911 ) and Jagiellonian universities (diploma of doctor of all medical sciences from 1911 ).

In the 1924/1925 academic year, he improved his qualifications in Paris with Gulen, Babinsky , Cloud, Sicard, Foix, Lapik and Burginon.

Medical practice

From 1912 he worked as an assistant at the neurological-psychological clinic at the Jagiellonian University.

During the First World War he worked as a military doctor.

Since 1918, assistant at the clinic of Jan Plitts at the Jagiellonian University, and from 1924 to 1928 in the hospital of Ujazdow Castle .

Since 1932, director of the neurological-psychological clinic at the Jagiellonian University.

Teaching work

From 1928 he taught at the University of Warsaw until 1932 , when he accepted the invitation after the death of Plik to head the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry of the Yagiellon University.

Scientific work

As a neurologist, he was primarily concerned with movement disorders. Left works from the field of psychology and social medicine. Published in medical journals, was a member of the editorial board of the Polish Neurology.

Military activities

Since 1923 he has been a resident at the School of Sanitary Sergeants in Warsaw, and since 1928 he has also become the head of the neurological department of the Center for Sanitary Training.

Last years of life

In August 1939, he was mobilized in the Polish Army and sent to the 5th District Military Hospital. With the beginning of the Second World War and the Soviet campaign in Poland on September 17, 1939, under unknown circumstances, he was arrested by Soviet soldiers . Contained in a camp in Kozelsk , where he was a consultant in a hospital [3] . In the spring of 1940 he was sent to Katyn, where he was shot on March 5, 1940 . He was buried in the Polish military cemetery in Katyn , where his body was identified by the Germans in 1943 as number 988 (they found the ashes of a government official, a fishing card, three business cards, a pocket calendar, three postcards, a piece of mail, two PKO savings books, folding knife) [4] [5] . A diary was also found, the entries in which begin on September 8, 1939 and end on April 9, 1940 [6] .
