Prize of Komsomol of Chuvashia named after M. Sespel

The Komsomol Prize of the Chuvashia named after M. Sespel is the Prize of the Komsomol Regional Committee of the Komsomol of the Chuvash ASSR that existed from 1967 to 1991 and was awarded for the best works in the field of literature, art and performance art.

History

The award was established by the Bureau of the Chuvash Regional Committee of the Komsomol on December 24, 1966 to encourage writers, composers and artists for creating works about the Komsomol and the youth of the republic.

The prize was named after the Chuvash poet Mikhail Sespel . The award was held annually on October 29 - the birthday of Lenin's Komsomol. The names of the laureates were entered into the Book of Honor of the Komsomol Regional Committee.

Figures of literature and art, awarded the Komsomol Chuvash Prize. M. Sespel, was awarded a laureate diploma, a breast badge with the image of Mikhail Sespel and a cash prize.

In 1977, it was decided to establish two annual prizes of the Komsomol of Chuvashia. M. Sespel. In 1985, they decided to award the next prize only in 1987 and then to award two prizes once every two years. In 1991, the prize was abolished.

In the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic there were prizes in the field of creativity: the state name of Konstantin Ivanov, the regional committee of the Komsomol named after Mikhail Sespel and the prize of the Union of Journalists of Chuvashia named after Semen Elger; in 1983, the Vasily Mitta Prize was added to them.

From 1967 to 1991, awards were awarded to 14 collectives of cultural and educational institutions, 13 poets, 6 prose writers, playwright, literary critic, 6 artists, 6 artists and directors, 3 composers, 2 ballet soloists, 3 opera soloists, 3 singer, 7 representatives of other professions (total 51).

Works Requirements

The works nominated for the award were supposed to be “highly ideological, significant in artistic mastery, inspiringly tell about the courage and heroic deeds of the young generation of the republic in the struggle to build a communist society, reveal the rich spiritual world and high moral qualities of young men and women, their desire selflessly to serve the party, the people, the motherland, the cause of Lenin ... " .

For awards accepted works published over the past three years, but no later than December 1 of the previous year. For consideration were accepted works and creative works of authors and performers, whose age did not exceed 40 years.

Awards were awarded to:

  • for the best works of fiction (novel, novel, play, collection of poems, poem);
  • for the best works of children's literature (novel, story, play, collection of poems);
  • for the best works of musical art (song, opera, symphonic works);
  • for the best works of fine art (painting, graphics, poster, decorative and applied art, sculpture, monumental art);
  • for the best works of theatrical art (theatrical performances, for the creation of a vivid image of a young contemporary). ... "
