Movie plot

Eleven paratrooper veterans (Ocean and his ten friends) led by Danny Ocean and Jimmy Foster decide to rob five Las Vegas casinos - Sahara, Riviera , Desert Inn Desert Inn ), Sands , and The Flamingo overnight.

The company is developing a New Year’s robbery plan with the accuracy of a military operation. Josh Howard sits behind the wheel of a garbage truck. Sam Harmon performs on the stage of one of the hotels. Explosives are installed on power lines. The spare electrical systems of each casino are secretly remade to the needs of robbers.

Exactly at midnight, when the song “Auld Lang Syne” is sung in every Las Vegas casino, power lines explode and Las Vegas is plunged into darkness. Spare electrical systems, instead of turning on emergency power and alarms, open the ticket office. Ocean-based casinos make their way to the box office and collect money. They hide their loot in the hotel's trash cans, return to the casino and mix with the crowd. When the light comes on again, the thieves calmly leave the casino. A garbage truck with Josh behind the wheel picks up trash cans with money and without a problem passes by the police.

However, with one of Ocean's friends, electrician Tony Bergdorf, a heart attack occurs and he dies in the midst of Las Vegas.

Former gangster Duke Santos invites casino owners to return their money for a fee. He learns that Ocean is in the city and his connection with Foster, who is the son of Duke's girlfriend. Santos knows everything by the time Bergdorf’s body arrives at the morgue.

Santos confronts thieves, demanding half of their prey. In desperation, thieves hide money in a coffin with the body of Bergdorf, taking 10 thousand dollars for the widow. The group plans to return the rest of the money without giving anything to Santos when the coffin is delivered to San Francisco.

However, the widow was persuaded to arrange a funeral in Las Vegas, where the body was cremated along with all the money.
